Box Brothers and Mothers Day

I just wanted to comment on the fact that one of the slowest days, revenue wise,
that we have all year, happens to be mothers day. Amazingly enough, the second
slowest day is not fathers day.

Over our 25 years, we seem to have had some experience in this matter, and while it
may not make much sense to anyone, our position in retail is different that standard
retailers, even though we have all of the trappings associated with running a retail business.

I guess every “dog has its day” and I just think it is interesting that one of our slowest days
is an official holiday, Mother’s Day, and to some, a bit of a surprise that Father’s day is not
so slow. Go figure….

The second slowest day, is the day of the super bowl. I am not sure why this is, but I wanted
to let all that were interested, know.

We believe in mother’s day and to me, after all these years, it makes sense. I heard one story
from one of the coaches playing a playoff game, in the NBA, yesterday, and he said “team
has to make sacrifices like out mothers did: if there were five people at the table plus Mom,
and there were only 5 pieces of pie, Mom would do without so that everyone else could share.

This was how my mother was, and I am sure, how most mothers were. I just hope that this does
not mean that if mom was not home and dad was serving the pie, that one of the others would not
get it……ha ha.

God bless mothers and the sacrifices they have made and continue to make. Fathers, not sure what
to say, but please do share….. by : Mark Frydman http://www.boxbros.com/contact-us
