Effective immediately, shipping toner cartridges heavier than 500 grams (17.5 ounces) by air on flights into and from the U.K. has been suspended. The government of the United Kingdom (U.K.) has put in place additional security measures to increase aviation security. In order to comply with this ruling, all UPS retail locations should ask customers with shipments to the U.K. if their shipments contain toner cartridges. A service update has been posted on ups.com to reflect these added security measures.
